Terms of Service

1. What the Service Is

DealRanks helps you discover deals and evaluate them. We aggregate offers from retailers, deal communities, and other public sources, score them, and show price information such as history and cross-retailer comparisons. We are not a retailer: purchases happen on third-party sites, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

You may sign in using a third-party provider such as Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your access secure. You may delete your account at any time in account settings or by contacting us; deletion is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Deal Information Is Not Guaranteed

Prices, discounts, availability, coupon codes, scores, and other deal information shown on the Service come from third-party sources and change frequently. We work to keep information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee it. Before purchasing, verify the price, terms, and availability on the retailer's site. The price you see on DealRanks may differ from the price the retailer charges.

Our scores, verdicts, and "buy or wait" indications are informational opinions generated from the data available to us. They are not financial, professional, or purchasing advice, and we are not responsible for purchase decisions you make based on them.

Coupon and promo codes shown on the Service are collected from retailers, affiliate networks, deal communities, and user submissions. We do not create these codes, and we cannot guarantee that any code is valid, currently active, or applicable to your order. Codes may expire, may be limited to certain products, regions, or accounts, or may require specific conditions at checkout ("your mileage may vary"). Always confirm any discount applies before completing a purchase. We are not responsible for codes that fail to work or for terms set by the retailer.

4. Affiliate Links

Some outbound links on the Service are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Commission rates never influence how deals are scored, ranked, or ordered. See our Privacy Policy for how outbound clicks are processed.

5. Your Content

The Service lets you submit content, such as deals, comments, votes, and reports ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You are responsible for your User Content. You agree not to submit content that:

• is false, deceptive, or deliberately misleading (including fake deals, manipulated prices, or fabricated coupon codes)
• infringes anyone's intellectual property or other rights
• is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or hateful
• contains malware, spam, or unauthorized advertising
• attempts to manipulate scores, votes, or rankings, including through multiple accounts or coordinated activity

We may remove or restrict User Content, or restrict accounts, at our discretion, including when content violates these Terms. We do not endorse User Content and are not responsible for it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service, or access it by automated means, without our prior written consent
• copy, resell, or redistribute the Service's data, scores, or content, in bulk or for commercial purposes, without our prior written consent
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service, or attempt to access it in unauthorized ways
• reverse engineer any part of the Service, except where the law permits it despite this restriction
• use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others

7. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its software, design, scores, text, and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Product names, images, and trademarks of retailers and manufacturers shown on the Service belong to their respective owners; their appearance does not imply affiliation with or endorsement of DealRanks.

8. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Service links to third-party websites, including retailers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, prices, policies, or practices. Your dealings with a retailer — including purchases, payment, delivery, returns, and warranties — are solely between you and that retailer, and are governed by the retailer's own terms.

9. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at dealrankscom@gmail.com with: identification of the work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act for the copyright owner. We will respond to valid notices, including removing material where appropriate.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that deal information will be accurate or current.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DealRanks and its team members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings, or data, arising from your use of the Service — including purchase decisions made in reliance on deal information or scores. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DealRanks and its team members from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any third party's rights.

13. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; if we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
