Community Guidelines

1. Submitting deals

A good submission is a link to a real product page with a real offer, plus a note that tells people something the page won't: a code to enter at checkout, a coupon to clip, which variant the price applies to, a catch worth knowing.

We verify every submission before it goes live. We open the page ourselves, confirm the product and the price, score the deal, and publish it with your username on it.

Submissions are rejected when:

• The link doesn't go to a purchasable product — search results, category pages, articles.
• The submission is spam or self-promotion, including referral links and affiliate-tagged URLs. We link products through our own system; submissions exist to share deals, not to monetize them personally.
• The claimed deal doesn't hold up — no discernible offer, or a price claim contradicted by everything on the page.
• The product is something we don't list: weapons, counterfeit goods, adult content, or anything illegal to sell.

If your submission is rejected, you'll see the reason on your submissions page. If the problem was on our side — for example, we couldn't read the page — we'll say so and retry. That's never held against you.

2. Writing comments and notes

Say what you know, in your own voice. "Code worked for me this morning" is a great comment. So is "arrived in two days," "only the grey one is this price," or "went out of stock once already, watch it." Opinions, humor, and short comments are all welcome.

Don't post:

• Spam, advertising, or referral links of any kind
• Fabricated or manipulated coupon codes
• Harassment, abuse, or personal attacks
• Content that has nothing to do with the deal

Comments are plain text. Links are not allowed in comments — this keeps the community free of hijacked and malicious URLs.

3. Voting

Vote honestly: Good Deal if you'd tell a friend about it, Bad Deal if you wouldn't. One account, one vote per deal. You can change or remove your vote at any time.

Don't manipulate votes — no multiple accounts, no coordinated voting, no voting rings. Vote manipulation is grounds for removal of the votes and suspension of the accounts involved.

4. Moderation

Every submission passes an automated review before publication. Comments can be reported by any user; reported comments are reviewed and removed when they break these guidelines. Content that is removed stays removed.

We may restrict or suspend accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these guidelines. Serious violations — fraud, fake codes, coordinated manipulation — can result in immediate suspension.

5. One principle behind all of it

Everything on DealRanks exists to answer a shopper's question honestly. If what you're about to post makes that answer better, post it. If it makes the answer worse — fake, misleading, self-serving — it doesn't belong here.
