Delete your DealRanks account or data
You can delete an individual comment while keeping your account, or permanently delete your DealRanks account and associated data. A public email request is available without signing in or reinstalling the app.
Delete data without deleting your account
Delete one of your comments
DealRanks lets you permanently delete any comment you authored. This does not delete or disable your account.
Steps
- 1Sign in to DealRanks on the website or in the mobile app.
- 2Open the deal page containing your comment and find the Comments section.
- 3Choose Delete next to your own comment. Only the author of a comment can use this control.
- 4The comment is permanently deleted while your DealRanks account and other account data remain active.
What is deleted and kept
- Deleted: the selected comment text and its comment record.
- Kept: your DealRanks account, profile, saved deals, votes, other comments, submissions, and sessions.
- Separately collected usage and log data may be retained for up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated, as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you cannot access the comment, request its deletion at dealrankscom@gmail.com. Identify the account email and the comment or data you want removed. We may verify account ownership, but we will never ask for your password.
Self-service
Delete in DealRanks
- 1Sign in to DealRanks on the website or in the mobile app.
- 2Open Account or Profile settings and choose Delete account.
- 3Type DELETE exactly and submit the confirmation.
- 4If DealRanks sends a verification email, open it and confirm the request. Your account remains active until that confirmation is complete.
Cannot sign in?
Send a deletion request
- 1Email dealrankscom@gmail.com, preferably from the address registered to your DealRanks account.
- 2Use the subject “DealRanks account deletion request” and identify the account email you want deleted.
- 3Complete any identity-verification step we send you. DealRanks will never ask for your password.
Removed or anonymized
Data affected by deletion
- Your DealRanks account and profile information, including your email, display name, profile picture, sign-in credentials, and active sessions.
- Private account activity associated with you, including saved deals, votes, reports, submissions, and mobile sessions.
- Your identity and message are removed from public comments. Only a neutral deleted-user/comment tombstone remains so the conversation structure does not break.
Kept for a limited purpose
Data that may remain
- Published community deals may remain available, but your identity and editor note are removed.
- Usage and log data may be retained for up to 24 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated so it is no longer associated with you.
- Commission and transaction records may be retained longer where accounting or law requires it.
